i should really be working on a weekly memo or my fafsa.  instead i'll fill out a survey that i was tagged on.

ten weird things? habits? little known facts?

1) i am a horrible speller.  Khalid El-Nahmean knows this.  on the old qlaq blog i was notorious for misspellings and i know he went back and fixed them.  i am not a spelling/grammar nazi. 

2) i am allergic to msg.  how can i be asian and allergic to it?  i have no f'n clue.  but i am.  if i eat msg i get a migraine.  it kills me going to some mom and pop asian joints where i know the food is good, but it's just laced with msg.  i feel the migraine after about halfway through the meal.  i'm incapacitated when that occurs.

3)  i sing song a lot of things.  i will randomly break out into song in my house or in my car or while telling teh mister something.  i learned it from my family.  my mom and my tita cesa did that all the time.  it'll be like random shit like if i need to go to the bathroom i'll sing a tune with the lyrics "i need to go to the bathroom" 

4) i still have my baby pillow.  i had two as a child.  my favorite one had strawberry shortcake as the pillowcase.  my mom threw it away and i cried forever about it.  i was about 11 or 12 when that happened.  she had attempted to throw it away before, but i fished it out of the throwaway box she had put it in.  when she actually did throw it away, i was like away at a friends house when she did it, i freaked out.  but i still had another baby pillow that wasn't my favorite pillow. it was like back up baby pillow.  it is became baby pillow #1 after that.  i don't have it at the apt, but it's still at my parents house.

5) in the mornings i make 3 deposits to the bank of toilet before i leave the house.  i almost always poop after a meal, thus making me not poop shy.

6) i smoked my first cigarette at 16.  i have since quit smoking on and off for the past 11 years.  i'm currently a smoker.

7) i love doorknocker earrings.  in fact i'm looking for the bamboo U earrings that mc lyte wore.  i'm also looking for heart shaped bamboo doorknockers.  i'm simply an earring fiend.  but i'm cheap.  i have a less than 5bucks rule.  i try to stay under 5, but occasionally i will go up to 7.99.

8) i can't think of any more at the moment, but to sum it all up.  i act like an 8 year old kid most of the time...well when i'm in backyardigans mode make that 4 year old.  i'm seriously a big kid at heart.  which i think is why i can connect with munchkins really well.  if i were to ever teach elementary i say kindergarten to 2nd grade.  i started acting up in 3rd, so i know kids act up in 3rd...granted all grades, but yeah 2nd/3rd is my cap. no junior high or high school...i don't even want to be around kids going through hormone changes.  which is why i'm studying higher ed.  because i want to be able to challenge and educate students when they are walking through the door of young adult to grown ass person.

yup.  i remember my lolo and lola would be on the couch "watching" their soaps only to be startled when they would snore so loud.  i got it from them..i swwear i got it from them.

thanks to Snarky McBitcherstein i've learned the my deadliest sin.  i never thought it would really be wrath.  this sounds so female, but perhaps it is because i'm pmsing...

finals week is almost over.  i've turned in a 14 page paper this morning.  i need to write a 4-5 page paper tonight, due tomorrow. i need to add one more paragraph to another paper, then i can email it to my professor.  i then have a reflection paper and then i write a paper where ig ive myself my own grade, both due next tuesday.  i can't wait for finals to be done with.  i'm going to best buy or fry's tomorrow and getting animaniacs season 2 in celebration.
